This ban applies to all open fires, including:

  • Campfires

  • Brush burning

  • Backyard fires

  • Fire pits

The ban is in place to protect communities, wildlife, and emergency responders due to ongoing dry conditions across the province.

🚧 What’s Happening in the Civic Field?
There’s been quite a buzz around the Village lately about the mysterious markings in the civic field! Some guessed it might be tied to Valley Wide Ribfest, others thought it could be for the BIG Amanda Forester Soccer Tournament happening this weekend… and yes, someone even suggested a UFO landing! 👽
Well, here’s the real answer —
What started with a simple circle marked two weeks ago was the beginning of something meaningful and lasting...
The Village of Greenwood is designed a LABYRINTH!
As construction continues, we’ll be sharing more about what a labyrinth is, how to walk one, and the many benefits it can bring to individuals and the community. Keep an eye on both our Facebook page and our Village website for updates.
Walking a labyrinth is a peaceful, personal experience — a path that invites reflection, mindfulness, and connection. Every person’s journey through it is different, but the destination is always the same: stillness, clarity, and renewal.
Stay tuned as we bring this meaningful space to life for everyone in Greenwood. đź’š
